Conference location

The conference takes place in the Amphitheatre, Department of Social Work, Democritus University of Thrace, P. Tsaldari 1. This is in the centre of the city (close to the bus station) and not at the university campus, which is in the western end of the city.

The welcome dinner for presenters will take place at 20:00 in the tavern KOUZOULO (Dimitriou Pournara Str 2, city centre of Komotini)

A shared taxi from Thessaloniki airport to Komotini costs approximately €260 compared to the €26 bus ticket, but saves considerable time and effort.

In all cities, the buses leave/arrive from the KTEL intercity bus station, from where a taxi or bus to the airport is needed:

• The journey from Thessaloniki airport to Thessaloniki bus station takes about 30 minutes by taxi (approximately €30-€35) and much longer by bus. Bus line 1X and 1N run 24 hours every 25-30 minutes with information at https://oasth.gr/#en/masterinfo/list/75/1/.
• From Alexandroupoli airport, a taxi to the city centre or bus station costs about €15 and takes 10-15 minutes. There are occasional buses between the airport to city centre costing €1.10, schedule is:
